Vault Local
Your scans and records, kept on this computer — encrypted, searchable, and yours. Vault Local is offered when you install the MyBodyPrism viewer, and there is no account to create.
Your records stay with you
Your scans and records never leave your computer. The only thing that ever goes out is a one-time licence check, which carries no health data.
That licence check belongs to the viewer. Vault Local itself makes no network call at all.
How it works
- It runs on your machine. Starting Vault Local runs a small server on your own computer and opens its pages in your browser. Nothing is hosted by us.
- No account, no sign-in, no network. First run needs none of them.
- The store is encrypted on disk. Your vault database is encrypted where it sits, not just protected by your Windows login.
- One recovery key, shown once. You are shown a recovery key when the vault is created, and it is never written to a file for you. Keep it somewhere safe — it is how you get back in.
- Your records live in your user profile, not inside the program folder, so uninstalling the viewer does not take them with it.
- You stop it from the tray. Vault Local sits in your notification area while it runs; Exit there shuts it down.
- Free, with no fixed end date. See the Vault Local EULA for its licence terms — it has its own, separate from the viewer's.
Getting it
Vault Local comes with the MyBodyPrism installer, as a component you choose there. It is ticked by default and you can untick it — so if you installed the viewer already and don't have the Vault, run the installer again and leave it ticked. It gets its own entry in your Start menu, and the viewer never starts it for you. See the download page and the system requirements.
Vault Local is for keeping and reviewing your own records. It is not a medical device, and it is not for diagnosis.
