2013

I was diagnosed with cardiac sarcoidosis.

This is what I saw on the medical scan CD they gave me.

"I couldn't understand my own disease."

Why this exists

I survived a sudden cardiac arrest. While recovering I discovered that the medical images describing the inside of my chest were locked behind portals I couldn't browse, formats I couldn't open, and rules that treated me as a stranger to my own body. I had spent nearly thirty years building advanced 3D visualization software for engineering. I knew there had to be a better way to visualize medical data.

So I built a better viewer.

How it works

  1. Download free. Enter your email on the download page and get the viewer — it's free.
  2. Open your scans. Open the folder from your CD, USB stick, or unzipped portal download — the files inside are DICOM, the standard format hospitals use for CT, MRI and PET. Render in 2D, MPR, MIP, and volume modes.
